Logistik Forum Bodensee, Bregenz
The four high school graduates Matteo Gärtner, Luca Brunold, Jakob Staffler and Ekin Sarikaya from HTL Dornbirn have set themselves the task of creating an analysis of our supply chain as part of their diploma thesis "Designing sustainable supply chains in the textile trade using the example of bed linen". This includes the CO2 emissions of the production facilities,
transportation routes and the efficiency of the means of transport used. The aim is to
identify the biggest sources of emissions and develop optimization proposals for a
more sustainable supply chain.
At this year's Logistik Forum Bodensee, they successfully presented the topic at their own information stand.

UNO City, Vienna
Speaking at the United Nations - what an honor! At the invitation of Zonta International, Stefan Grabher spoke at a side event of the NGO Committee on Sustainable Development at the 33rd Conference of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ) in Vienna's UNO City to an audience from industry, business, academia and NGOs. Topic: the Supply Chain Act with its opportunities and challenges.
The panel included Johannes Jäger, Head of the Department of Economics at the University of Applied Sciences of the BFI Vienna, Gertrude Klaffenböck from the NGO Südwind and moderator Geyer Ingeborg (Zonta International). It was an exciting exchange and extremely interesting to examine the new law from different perspectives. What was important to Mr. Grabher personally: as an entrepreneur, he was able to convey the holistic transformation we are striving for in a different context.

Handover at the Mary Rose, Dornbirn
We were delighted to meet with the illustrious group of "Women in the Vorarlberg People's Party", accompanied by the Vice President of the Tyrolean Parliament and EU candidate Sophia Kircher! The fact that we received the climate pearl for exemplary contributions to Vorarlberg's climate future on this occasion is another nice confirmation of the path we have taken.
A Climate Pearl is a kind of award that the Climate Forum gives to exemplary initiatives and ideas from Vorarlberg that make a contribution to environmental and climate protection.
They show how diverse and everyday sustainable commitment can be and are intended to motivate people to also work towards a climate-friendly future.
Every year, six such "climate pearls" are awarded in different categories.

Lecture HTL Dornbirn
"I never thought I would voluntarily return to school. But I overcame "my trauma" because I believe I have an important message to convey: I want to inspire young people to work for positive change. Nothing is more important than knowing that you can make a difference, that your actions have an effect on the world. A world in which we not only consume things, but also consider the consequences of our consumption for the environment and people. A world in which we not only create textiles, but also values." And this is exactly what Stefan Grabher did at the Networking Evening 2023 at HTL Dornbirn, where he spoke about the holistic transformation of Mary Rose and our journey towards a circular economy.

Foreign Trade Forum
How can the transformation to a sustainable company succeed? AUSSENWIRTSCHAFT AUSTRIA focused on this question at the current Foreign Trade Forum and thankfully invited me as a speaker to provide possible answers. The discussion revolved around the brand-new European Supply Chain Act and the responsible role of companies in terms of sustainability, particularly with regard to the German Supply Chain Duty of Care Act.

Logistik-Forum Bodensee
"In my work, I often get to tell my story and that of the transformation of my company. It's a privilege for me to give people an understanding of my perspective on sustainability. I was able to share my expertise and talk about the holistic transformation of companies towards a more responsible economy. The focus was on the four pillars of holistic change: social sustainability, sustainability in production, energy and the circular economy - but the circular economy that doesn't end in a dead end." Stefan Grabher always lays all the cards on the table and also talks about the challenges and difficulties that such a transformation entails.

PRofi-Treff Innsbruck
We need to start asking the right questions when it comes to sustainability. Stefan discussed why and what these questions are at the PRofi meeting of the Public Relations Association Austria (PRVA) Tyrol on 30 March 2023 in Innsbruck.
Under the title "Sustainability communication between duty and freestyle", communicators from business and organizations examined how a company can integrate the topic of sustainability into its operations and how it communicates its actions professionally. The participants were given an insight into how we at Mary Rose make the manufacture of our products as sustainable and socially fair as possible.
A lively discussion then developed around the questions of why a true circular economy is still wishful thinking from today's perspective and what needs to change for us to really get there. Waltraud Kaserer's presentation on how sustainability performance can be made measurable and visible was also fascinating.
